From Palenque
At Palenque take the local transport (Transporte
„Chamoán”; Av. Hidalgo No. 137) via
San Javier (1,5 hours aprox.) to the Lacandon settlement
of Lacanjá Chansayab where you can find the Campamento
Tucán Verde. Buses leave at 5.30 a.m., 10 a.m.,
12.00 noon, 1.30 p.m., 3 p.m., 4.30 p.m. ($60). If they
drop you off in San Javier, take another colectivo or
a taxi to the settlement. They should not charge you more
than $10-20. Be sure to specify to driver that you want
to go to the Campamento Ecológico Tucán
Verde.
